Pork Goulash Thingy

This may or may not have any relation to a real pork goulash. It's a good winter warmer though.

Ingredients

  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1/2 tsp dried chilli flakes
  • 2 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp peppercorns, ground
  • 3 garlic gloves, crushed
  • 300g pork, diced
  • 2/3 can of chopped tomatoes
  • 4 bay leaves
  • 1 can of chick peas
  • 1 tsp of mixed herbs
  • 150ml plain yoghurt

Method

  1. Fry the onion gently for 10-15 minutes until golden.
  2. Turn down the heat and add the chillis, paprika, pepper and garlic. Fry gently for 1 minute, stirring continuously.
  3. Add the pork and fry until sealed.
  4. Tip in the tomatos. Add the bay leaves and mixed herbs.
  5. Tip in the yoghurt and stir well. It will probably curdle, but that will come out with cooking. Simmer for 30 minutes.

Serve with rice.
